Ceremony to commemorate the 5th anniversary of the martyrdom of General Soleimani

On the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the martyrdom of General Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis a seminar entitled International Day of Resistance and Commemoration of Quds Martyrs was held at the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Karachi.

The ceremony, which was held on January 3, 2025, and was attended by a group of political elites, party leaders, some members of the Pakistani parliament, and religious figures, paid tribute to the martyred General Qassem Soleimani and his other comrades.

Hassan Noorian, Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Karachi, as the host of the event, said in his speech: "Today, the Palestinian Resistance Front has been structured, and despite the martyrdom of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, martyr Safiuddin, Ismail Haniyeh, and Yahya Sinwar, the path of struggle has not stopped, and the Mujahideen are defending the first Qiblah of Muslims with more motivation."

Noorian added: "General Soleimani played a pivotal and influential role in preventing the disintegration of Islamic lands and confronting terrorist groups such as ISIS." He also appreciated the strong support of the people and government of Pakistan for the Palestinian cause, especially their solidarity with the Resistance Front in renouncing global arrogance.

Among the speakers at the ceremony were Sahibzada Abul Khair Zubair, Chairman of the National Solidarity Council of Pakistan; Allama Shabbir Maysami, Secretary General of the Shia Ulema Council of Pakistan; Allama Syed Baqir Zaidi, Chairman of the Muslim Unity Council in Sindh Province; Shah Firozuddin Rahmani, a prominent Sunni scholar; Hojatul Islam Raisi, Head of the Imam Khomeini Seminary; Sheikh Salahuddin, a respected Shia scholar; Asadullah Bhutto, a leader of Jamaat-e-Islami; and Dr. Syed Mahboob, a journalist and columnist for The News Lark newspaper.
