Meeting of the newly appointed Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Karachi with the Chief Minister of Sindh
During a meeting between Akbar Issa-Zadeh, the newly appointed Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Karachi, and Syed Murad Ali Shah, Chief Minister of Sindh, both sides emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, and tourism.
The meeting covered a range of topics, including the organization of joint trade exhibitions and the enhancement of cultural relations through media cooperation. The two sides agreed on the need to increase the volume of bilateral trade and to broaden joint cooperation in the areas of agriculture, livestock, and fisheries.
The meeting also underscored the importance of launching and expanding direct flights between Karachi and Tehran to facilitate the travel of pilgrims and to enhance commercial connectivity. The Chief Minister of Sindh, in accepting the invitation of the Iranian Consul General to visit the Islamic Republic of Iran, expressed hope that during the Consul General’s tenure in Karachi, relations between Sindh Province and key provinces of Iran would be further strengthened.
