The Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Karachi Meets with the Governor of Sindh Province
Akbar Isa Zadeh, the newly appointed Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Karachi, held a meeting with Mr. Kamran Khan Tessori, Governor of Sindh. During the meeting, Mr. Isa Zadeh and the Governor discussed ways to expand comprehensive bilateral ties, with a particular focus on enhancing provincial-level cooperation in the areas of economic development, tourism, culture, and people-to-people exchanges.
Both sides highlighted the existing opportunities and reaffirmed the commitment of senior officials from both countries to leveraging the longstanding bonds of brotherhood and neighborly relations between Iran and Pakistan. They also agreed to take effective measures to achieve the $10 billion bilateral trade target set by the leaders of the two countries, and to utilize provincial capacities to further enhance bilateral cooperation.
The Governor of Sindh extended his congratulations and best wishes to the Iranian Consul General on the commencement of his new mission, assuring him of his full support and commitment to further strengthening relations between the two countries during this period.
The visit concluded with the symbolic planting of a ‘Tree of Friendship’ between Iran and Pakistan in the green courtyard of the Sindh Governor’s House, in the presence of officials from both sides.
