H.E. Akbar Eissa Zadeh, assumes office as the New Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Karachi
The newly appointed Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Karachi has officially commenced his duties following the presentation of a copy of his credentials to the Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Karachi.
Mr. Akbar Eissa Zadeh, the newly appointed Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Karachi, met with Mr. Muhammad Irfan Soomro, Director General of Foreign Affairs Liaison Office in Karachi. During the meeting, Mr. Eissa Zadeh presented a copy of his credentials and elaborated on the key priorities of his mission, including the expansion and deepening of bilateral economic relations, academic and scientific cooperation, tourism, and the enhancement and diversification of cultural and artistic exchanges between the two brotherly nations. With the completion of this formal procedure, Mr. Eissa Zadeh officially commenced his diplomatic mission as Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Karachi. Karachi, which hosts Consulates General of more than twenty countries—including China, Russia, Iraq, Afghanistan, Turkey, Indonesia, Malaysia, Qatar, Oman, and Saudi Arabia—has the largest number of diplomatic missions in Pakistan after the capital, Islamabad.
