The Iranian delegation headed by Mr. Shafei, the president of Iran's Chamber of Commerce, mines, Industries, and Agriculture, including 26 Iranian businessmen and some prominent Iranian Parliamentary members traveled to Karachi on 25-27 October and met with Pakistani officials.
The Iranian delegation headed by Mr. Shafei, the president of Iran's Chamber of Commerce, mines, Industries, and Agriculture, including 26 Iranian businessmen and some prominent Iranian Parliamentary members traveled to Karachi on 25-27 October and met with Pakistani officials. The negotiations were regarding the implement a new economic plan and making the most of the friendly relations between the economic and private sectors of the two countries to advance cooperation.
These representatives of Iran’s private and public sectors in the fields of agriculture, food, oil, gas, petrochemicals and chemicals, construction materials, minerals, pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, technology, startups, and transportation, met with the economic authorities of Pakistan, including the State Bank of Pakistan, Investment Organization, Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Trade Development Authority of Pakistan, National Logistics Company of Pakistan (NLC) and discussed ways to increase cooperation and promote trade exchanges.
On this mission, three cooperation agreements were signed in the presence of Mr. Hosseini, the honorable ambassador of the I.R. Iran in Islamabad, and Mr. Nourian, the honorable consul general of the I.R. Iran in Karachi, to strengthen comprehensive cooperation between the private sector of the two countries, including establishing a joint business council Iran and Pakistan, the determination of the mechanism for the settlement of bilateral commercial disputes, as well as the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between KCCI President Muhammed Tariq Yousuf and ICCIMA President MasoudGolshirazi, to establish a practical framework for the development of business relations between the two chambers and to set forth the procedures of cooperation which could enhance the implementation of their mutual economic objectives.
The parliamentary members also had a meeting with Ms. ReihanehLaghari the Honorable Deputy Speaker of the Sindh assembly, about mutual parliamentary relations and the enhancement of commercial ties between the two brotherly countries.
